I think it is a good idea to travel the shortest distance possible for a holiday and a growing number of holidaymakers now feel the same way, becoming more conscious of the need to consider sustainability when planning a vacation. As a result there has been a surge in booking for holiday homes and villas. I have realised the attraction of holiday cottages since I got a dog and hotels were really no longer an option. I really prefer to have a cosy cottage and garden with home furniture that was usually chosen by the owner for their own use. The times we have styed in these cottages have been among the best short breaks I have taken.
