Before travelling it is a very good idea to check that you have a good supply of all your medications to cover the length of your trip away from home. Although chemists and pharmacies in most countries should be able to find the prescriptions for your needs using
healthcare management software, it is much better to travel prepared. Then you do not risk any disruption to your normal routine.

Most hotels are available for meetings and other business bookings as well as weddings and celebrations, and they make sure the major rooms can be adapted to suit all the varied uses quickly and easily. The conference tables that are used for your sales meeting today  are probably modular and by the evening they will have been configured for a weekend party booking.

If you are planning a visit to the world class theme parks based near Orlando, you are likely to set yourself a busy schedule to see all the leading attractions during your stay.  For this kind of active vacation many travellers prefer to book an Orlando rental home
so that they do not have to fit in with hotel restaurant timings.  This way you can relax completely when you get back after a day sightseeing, and eat in or get a takeout meal at any time.

Travel games

Who does not like playing games on their PC or laptop? Even I have to admit that I have passed the odd hour or two with a few Free Online Games for my amusement. I blame it all on my brother, who introduced me to the whole world of computer games almost fifteen years ago. We soon learned how to Download Games and it is incredible how absorbing the best games can be. You start playing, thinking that you will only stay in the game for half an hour - then the next time you look at your watch, two hours have passed. For me the adversarial games are no the best. I like to Play Chess Online
as well, because it gives a degree of mental workout that very few other games provide. There is no need to lose track of a game when you travel, as it is easy to catch up with your opponent from the hotel as long as there is internet access.

South Devon

The image of Torquay to most of us is an established but rather staid resort, mainly due to images of retired people living in the area and notorious fictional hotels like Fawlty Towers. The reality is that Torquay is a large bustling resort and, sadly, the efforts at marketing the Torbay area seems to have attracted a down market crowd. The centre of Torquay is now full of chav infested bars, although our dog friendly hotel in Torquay was excellent - and offered free WiFi Internet - we spent as little time as possible in Torquay centre. The other main resorts in Torbay are Paignton and Brixham. These are also well located as touring centres, but they also have a fair sprinkling of amusement arcades and chip shops - if that is what you want, then that is your choice. Brixham does have a beautiful harbour area, contrasting in its solitude with the busy town. Above the harbour is Berry Head, which is a beautiful green clifftop with views across Torbay to the the South Hams in the other direction. There is a hotel in this area, the Quayside Hotel, which is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the best of Brixham’s offerings.

Review Dog Friendly Country House Hotel in Devon

I reviewed our recent stay in a very good dog friendly hotel in Torquay, Devon, where we spent five days exploring the Torbay area. On leaving Torquay we continued only about sixty miles further down the coast to the Kitley House Hotel, six miles outside Plymouth. This hotel, like the Hillcroft, came up when we searched for ‘dog friendly hotels with WiFi’. The Kitley website features a photo of a dog seated in front of the grand fireplace that dominates the entrance hall. The hotel makes a big point of its dog friendly approach, and four-legged visitors with a goodie bag and personal welcome letter. Read more »

Wales Country House Hotels Pet Friendly

The Lake Country House Hotel is located in Powys near the village of Llangammarch Wells, in fifty acres of parkland, with sweeping lawns, rhododendron lined pathways and riverside walks. Excellent for dogs to walk and roam around the grounds, this is an attractive hotel that keeps a welcome in the hillside for you and your dog in your own room only and there is a charge of £6 per night for dog guests. Dogs are not accepted in the reception areas. http://www.lakecountryhouse.com Read more »

Hotel beds must measure up

One of the things I notice when I stay at a new hotel is the quality of the bed and the bedding. Sagging divans and bobbly sheets are no longer acceptable to travellers and there is no excuse for trying to get away with providing them. Travellers expect well equipped bedrooms, large comfortable beds, fluffy pillows and tasteful Contemporary Bedding. I do not recommend providing all-white bedding, but neutral designs in natural fabrics are always a winner. There is a wealth of choices available and you can now order your bedding printed with your own designs. All you need to do is provide a photo image of your choice. You can preview how your design looks online before deciding, this is a great way to stamp your mark on the whole look.

The things that we notice when we are a long way away from home on vacation are remarkable, and the impression they make on us is much more intense.  For example, when you go to a new bar or club in another country, you are likely to take much more notice of things like the bar stools even though they could be identical to the ones in your own local.  I guess that is why we go on holiday.

If you want to buy holiday souvenirs that remind your friends of the threats to our endangered species around the world, here is a really good idea: have a look at the Jungle Store and choose from thousands of cuddly toys depicting threatened species, as well as  animal masks for the kids - or big kids! This site really has it all for any animal related gift ideas, with thousands of the cutest soft toys ever.  And everything you buy helps protect endangered species.
