If you are travelling to the United States this year it is worth thinking about looking at some real estate while you are over there. The price crash has come about due to over supply after builders put up thousands of new homes to make money out of the new wave of low income house buyers. Now there is a glut and you could do well from it.

One of the best inventions to help you get more out of your hard earned vacation in recent  years has to be the widespread availability of low cost digital cameras.  They are so easy and cheap to use, you do not need to ration your photos according to the amount of film you have, and you need never miss your favourite photo idea ever again. Just point and shoot, and if the finished picture is not so good then just delete and use the space for another.

I mentioned recently the unusual ways that some of us decide to choose a type of vacation or a particular holiday destination.  For me, I love mountain holidays because they bring back memories of books that I read as a child.  Recently my Mother decided out of the blue to look at caribbean cruises.  Why the new vacation idea? A woman at the bus stop said she had been on a cruise and really enjoyed it.  Who needs travel agents?

Where do you get the inspiration for your next vacation idea? Does it arise from talking to a friend or colleague about their future travel plans, or are you influenced in your holiday choice by the destinations as seen on tv? Either way, it is always worth watching and listening as this could be a way of finding your dream vacation and breaking out of the routine of visiting the same place every year

As the winter draws in my mind is wandering more and more to sunnier climes. I cannot afford a big trip right now- but at least I can dream! The thing I always associate with romantic resorts in exotic places is the lighting. By that I mean the outdoor lighting. The tables in the street outside bars and eating outside cafes at night. The “poor man’s holiday” involves investing in some lighting and dreaming of the summer!

One of the cool aspects of travelling to the glamorous world destinations is the chance to play poker or roulette among the glitterati.  If the bug gets you, you can carry on playing online when you get home. As there are at least 3000 online casinos on the internet to choose from it can be hard to tell which ones you can trust and which you should avoid. You can get independent online casino reviews written by keen online gamblers who enjoy playing at the online casinos.  Now you can steer clear of the few unscrupulous casino operators and go to the ones who treat their players well. Whether you are new or if you are an experienced player you can get help.

Advantages of Independent Travel

There is a changing tide in the travel industry. Traditionally massive package holiday companies have block booked villas, hotels, flights, tours and coach transfers from and to the airport. Every detail of ones holiday was catered for by the tour operator. Two weeks in July with bacon and eggs by the pool. The situation is however changing and the trend is towards independent travel. You know the one thing that always makes me think of European travel destinations? Coffee! The smell of coffee coming from inside a café somewhere in France or Spain. There’s nothing like it for making the imagination run riot. When I get the urge to travel, but the urge is not matched by the available funds, I take the “poor man’s holiday”. This involves espresso machines! Just turn it on, drink the coffee and dream about next summer. Enjoy!

You can travel the world from pole to pole. You can pick up your passport and make the world your playground by jumping on a plane. But if you are feeling lazy, you can just as easily make the world your oyster by buying a couple of home theater chairs, kicking back and having a beer with the person you love.Sometimes it is nice to do nothing!
