I had an email from a friend just now, sceptical about my devotion to self catering holiday cottages. Well I also remember the bad old days of leaky caravans with folding tables
that adapted to convert to a bed at night. I remember going to a caravan for the weekend and the horrible realisation that there was no bathroom. On a normal budget it is easy to find delightful villas, cottages and condos to spend a happy vacation.
