High Rollers

My partner has developed an interest in playing online poker after talking to a friend who has been doing very well from playing on the web. But when he tried to get started, he hit one big stumbling block - most sites did not offer software that he could use. The reason? He has a MacBook, and their downloads were designed for Windows. However with a quick search he found a site that brings together all the Mac friendly gaming websites and reviews the best ones for you to visit. Now my partner is also wary of downloads, so I was pleased to see that they also link to Mac Poker and Mac casino sites that use Javascript, and therefore do not require any downloads. They also show you the highest Online Casino Bonuses, and there are some genuine voucher codes for extra signup bonuses so you can start off with some ‘free’ money!

When you are refitting a bathroom or kitchen the choice of fittings and the range of different prices can be really confusing.  The way to choose a new suite used to involve a number of trips to the showrooms, where you are likely to get confused or end up buying something more expensive.  The online merchants are the best way to find all that you need in one place, they have everything from stainless steel kitchen sinks to complete pamper bathrooms where you can indulge your soporific side. Travel games

time Posted September 15, 2007 * Comments(0)
Who does not like playing games on their PC or laptop? Even I have to admit that I have passed the odd hour or two with a few Free Online Games for my amusement. I blame it all on my brother, who introduced me to the whole world of computer games almost fifteen years ago. We soon learned how to Download Games and it is incredible how absorbing the best games can be. You start playing, thinking that you will only stay in the game for half an hour - then the next time you look at your watch, two hours have passed. For me the adversarial games are no the best. I like to Play Chess Online
as well, because it gives a degree of mental workout that very few other games provide. There is no need to lose track of a game when you travel, as it is easy to catch up with your opponent from the hotel as long as there is internet access.

Vacations your way

time Posted August 29, 2007 * Comments(0)
I mentioned recently that we were trying to book a holiday villa when we went away in August, but we found that all the best ones had been booked up for months. I prefer the flexibility of vacation rentals above hotels, and I really like to stay in a cottage or condo that has the personal touch of a local owner. Last year we were lucky and we stayed in two properties where the owner’s family also used the house for short breaks. This means some of the extras are included that you do not see when you stay in a large development. Read more »

Madrid and Barcelona

time Posted August 23, 2007 * Comments(0)
If you want to visit more than one city in Spain then you will find out that this is a big country. The driving distance between major Spanish towns is more than one day’s travel, for example the train journey from Madrid to Barcelona takes anything from five hours to nine hours depending on the train service you use. However if you fly between the two cities the flying time is under one hour and because this is a domestic flight, you do not have to check in hours in advance so you can travel from Madrid and check in at any of your favourite Hotels in Barcelona in less than half a day.
Once you arrive in either destination you will be spoiled for choice. Hotels in Madrid include some of the best in Spain , like the Ritz - which has special discounted rates from EUR 419 upwards. The hotel is situated in Plaza De La Lealtad 5 28014 Madrid, convenient for exploring the Old Quarter area. Read more »

Flying to Germany and Austria

time Posted August 22, 2007 * Comments(0)
Two of the most evocative cities to stay in Europe are Berlin and Vienna and it is quite simple to combine a trip to both cities, with excellent air connections between the two. log about flying between Vienna and Berlin, and hotel to stay at in both cities. After the reunification Berlin has finally regained its status as the capital city and important buildings like the Staatsoper in Unter Den Linden have been restored to their rightful glory. Berlin also has a new funky atmosphere and is buzzing with creative enterprises. Among my favourite Hotels in Berlin are those close to the Tiergarten, I stayed at the Schweizerhof just after the Wall first came down and had an amazing time. I am not sure whether all the other Hotels in Berlin serve Vodka on the breakfast buffet, but this place certainly did. Read more »

Dublin Airport

time Posted August 21, 2007 * Comments(0)
A weekend in Dublin or a touring holiday of Ireland is an easy trip from the UK, the flight is short and you can reach Dublin Airport from most of the UK provincial airports in less than an hour. The last time I was in Dublin we nearly missed the flight back because we completely misjudged the time needed to drive to the airport from most Dublin hotels. Although Dublin is not a very large city, the airport is more than eight miles from the city centre and roads between the city and the airport can get very busy. Read more »
