In the south Devon and Torbay area this is an unmissable outing - the Paignton to Dartmouth Steam railway. Over just eight miles of track this magical steam line goes over some of Brunel’s most stunning viaducts to reach the wide Dartmouth estuary. Here you can relive the Great Age of Steam as you travel along the rail line known as The Nation’s Holiday Railway, travelling along the spectacular Torbay coastline to the port of Dartmouth and the fascinating River Dart Estuary. The round trip can also be combined with ferry trips or mini cruises returning to Totnes, Paignton or Torquay. Highly recommended.
