The Lake Malawi National Park now has an extra attraction in the Pumulani Beach Lodge, comprising ten luxury lakeside villas. Each commands a spectacular view over Lake Malawi and its own private deck. Activities at the lodge include birdwatching, waterskiing, sailing, diving, wakeboarding, kayaking, snorkelling and fishing.
Guests can experience the beauty of the Lake of Stars by night on scenic cruises in a traditional wooden dhow, a 40ft sailing boat handbuilt by local craftsmen. The National Park is a World Heritage Site and the opening of the lodge brings luxury accommodation to this natural paradise.
In Mozambique the new eco lodge at Azura is situated on Benguerra Island, an island with miles of white sandy beaches surrounded by tranquil turquoise seas. The fifteen secluded villas offer luxury boutique touches in traditional architecture of thatched roofs and carved beams. Idyllic activities include scuba diving, snorkelling, big game fishing and salt water fly fishing in the warm waters of the African Ocean.
Zambia remains the preserve of very few visitors. The country is still wild, full of big game, and boasts some of the best game parks in Africa. In the Livingstone District, in the south of Zambia is the area that many use as a base for visits to the Falls on the Zambian side. Viewing the majestic torrent is not enough - to experience it fully, many feel the need to raft and surf through it, bunjee jump and abseil into it, or take a microlight over the cascade.
A new Lodge, Toka Leya, named after the people who inhabited the area for hundreds of years is in a fabulous location by the Zambezi River, close to Victoria Falls.
